You need to apply online and book an appointment at a Finnish mission (embassy or consulate) or a service point in Finland.

Steps:

  3. Pay the application fee:
    • €350 (online application).
    • €450 (paper application).
  4. Book an appointment at the nearest Finnish embassy or consulate to verify your identity and submit biometrics.

 Attend the Appointment

Visit the Finnish mission with your original documents and application receipt. During the appointment:

  • Submit fingerprints and other required biometrics.
  • Present your documents for verification.

Wait for a Decision

The Finnish Immigration Service (Migri) processes your application.

  • Processing time can range from 1 to 3 months. Apply as early as possible.

Arrive in Finland

Once your application is approved:

  • You will receive a residence permit card.
  • If you’re already in Finland, collect the card from a service point of Migri.
