Financial Advantages:
The Commonwealth Shared Scholarship 2024 will pay for the following costs:
- Round-trip Airfare Approved Return flights from your home country to the UK at the end of your award.
- Full tuition fees have been approved.
- Monthly stipend (living allowance) of £1,347 per month for students attending universities in the London metropolitan region, or £1,652 per month for those attending universities outside of the London metropolitan area (rates quoted at 2023-2024 levels)
- Allowance for warm clothing, if applicable
Where applicable, a thesis Grant to Help with the costs of writing a thesis or dissertation. - Study travel grants are available to help with the expense of study-related travel inside the UK or abroad.
- Baggage allowance in excess
- Widowed, divorced, or single parent child allowances are also available.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 2023-24:
- Be a citizen of an eligible Commonwealth country or have been awarded refugee status by one, or be a British protected person.
- Be a permanent resident of one of the countries listed above.
- Be ready to begin your academic studies in the UK at the beginning of the UK academic year in September 2024.
- Those who have earned a Four-year Bachelor’s Degree or a two-year Bachelor’s Degree and a two-year master’s degree are eligible to apply for the Commonwealth UK Scholarship.
- Hold a first degree of at least upper second class (2:1) honours standard, or a second class degree (2:2) and equivalent postgraduate certificate (a Master’s degree) by September 2024.
- Not having studied or worked in a high-income country for one (academic) year or more.
Without this scholarship, you would be unable to study in the UK.
