- Candidates must not be Chinese nationals, be in perfect health, and agree to abide by Chinese law and Beijing Institute of Technology rules and regulations.
- Those interested in applying to Master’s programs must be under the age of 35, while those interested in applying to Ph.D. programs must be under the age of 40.
- Candidates for advanced degrees are expected to have completed at least a Bachelor’s degree program or its equivalent. Ph.D. programs often require applicants to have a Master’s degree or its equivalent in work experience.
- The HSK certificate (minimum level 5) is required for admission to Chinese-taught programs, while the TOEFL or IELTS score of 80 (native English speakers excluded) is required for admission to English-taught programs. You may also submit an alternative language certificate accepted by BIT.
- Candidates for an MBA program are expected to have worked in their chosen field for at least a year.
