The Asian Development Bank (ADB) offers Fully Funded Master’s Degree Scholarships to qualified International Students. In fields such as economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields, the Japanese government awards 140 scholarships annually through the Asian Development Scholarship (ADB Scholarship).
With the help of the Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) award, international students can study in Thailand at no cost. The duration of the ADB scholarships is between one and two years. Criteria for Eligibility:
- Hold a passport from an ADB member nation. See the ADB – Japan Scholarship Program to Check Your Country Name for a current list of developing member countries.
- Candidate selection with a focus on women.
- Priority will be given to those who have less financial means. Maximum annual household income of US$50,000; maximum annual personal income of US$25,000.
- A high GPA and a Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent are required.
- Have worked in a professional setting (after earning a bachelor’s degree) for at least two (2) years prior to applying.
- Age limit is no more than 35 years old. The maximum age requirement for participation in a program is 45 years old if it is intended for senior officials and managers.
- Join the program with the understanding that you’ll be heading back home when you’re done.

The Necessary Paperwork:
- Two recommendations and a copy of your undergraduate degree certificate or transcript covering the last four years.
- Competence in English Requirement: Work certification from an employer requiring either a TOEFL (computer-based) score of 213 or iTOEFL score of 80, or an IELTS score of 6 (writing and overall), or an equivalent.
- Earnings report. If you are married, please submit a joint income statement from both partners; otherwise, submit a joint income statement from both parents.
